Lab. Intro.

NuRAST explores nuclear reactor analysis, reactor safety, and fission product behavior across a wide range of reactor systems—from conventional nuclear power plants to advanced small modular reactors (SMRs), including both water-cooled and non-water-cooled designs.

Our primary goal is simple: to make nuclear reactors safer and more beneficial to society. We aim to understand how reactors behave, how accidents can be better predicted and managed, and how fission products move and evolve under accident conditions.

We are always looking for curious and motivated students who want to take on challenging problems with us. You do not need to know everything from the beginning. What matters most is a strong enthusiasm to learn, explore, and solve problems in reactor analysis, nuclear safety, and accident source terms.
